Pictures in the Park!

Today Paige and I went to the little park in downtown League City to take some pictures and experiment and try to learn about our new camera a little more. Paige did a little modeling too :)

This first one is of what I am told is a butter fly house. I just thought it was for skinny birds, but what do I know.

Here is a close up of a flower, duh.

The next two photos are of a small waterfall there. This one was taken with a long shutter speed to give the water a blur effect.

This one was taken with a really high shutter speed to freeze every water drop in time. What you may notice is that it is much darker since the shutter is open for such a shorter time. So we are still learning other tricks to compensate for that. We're new...

Here is my beautiful wife. Had to put this one in! There was a big telephone pole in the back ground with a transformer on it that I edited out. Let me know if you can tell. Being able to edit out my mistakes is awesome!
