I think my dog has pica

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this horrible condition, it can be defined (by wikipedia, which we all know is a reliable source) as having an appetite for non-nutritive substances. When she was just eating her rope, or tearing up her frisbee, I was so concerned- or mad.

But as of 6:00 this morning I'm totally convinced! I opened the door to laundry room to see a beagle with very droopy ears and a tucked under tail crouching down next to a puddle of (if you just ate, stop reading) white doggy puke, and a huge hole in the wall! She actually tore through the paper layer of the sheet rock and ate into the dry wall. If you look at the detailed pic, you can see the teeth marks. She must have been going at it for some time, because she made some significant progress prior to my discovery. She was scolded, spanked, and scolded again. I was still mad at her when I got home today!

But, lucky for me, I didn't have time to clean any of it up. I had to be at work early, so poor Ty had to deal with the effects of Bailey's eating disorder. They say that it normally affects children, so that mean that she'll out grow it? How old is 1 yr and 10 months in dog anyways?

I've never heard of this! I hope that she grows out of it soon. Are you still keeping her in the laundry room?
